A practical clothing measurement guide for women and men, including general body-size references and advice for choosing between sizes.

1. How to Measure
Use a flexible measuring tape and keep it comfortably close to the body without pulling too tight. Measure over light clothing or directly over the body where appropriate.
Bust / Chest
Measure around the fullest part of the chest, keeping the tape level across your back.
Waist
Measure around your natural waistline without holding your breath or pulling the tape tight.
Hips
Measure around the fullest part of your hips and seat with feet relatively close together.
Inseam
Measure from the upper inner thigh down to the desired trouser length.
Important: Product-specific size information on an individual product page takes priority over this general guide. Different cuts, fabrics and suppliers can fit differently.

3. Choosing Between Sizes
If your measurements fall between two sizes, consider the intended fit and fabric. For a relaxed fit, the larger size may provide more room; for a closer fit, use the product-specific measurements and fabric stretch information before choosing.
For trousers and skirts, prioritize waist and hip measurements. For tops, shirts and outerwear, chest/bust and shoulder fit are usually especially important.
4. Measurement Tolerance
Manual garment measurements can vary slightly, commonly by approximately 1–3 cm depending on the product and measuring method. This guide is a general reference and is not a guarantee that every product uses identical sizing.
